Why I don't write more blogs...

I love reading blogs!! I love laughing at all of the witty comments that all of my really smart friends write. I, however, can never think of anything funny or even interesting to say.

So, I must apologize to those of you who also enjoy reading witty blogs. Mine will often if not all times fall short of that.

But, here goes. Life is slowly starting to fall into a new normal. I'm still 3 weeks away from the "you can pick up your 2 year old" go ahead. So, that makes life really interesting around here. David is being a real trooper. He's learned to get into and out of his bed by himself with the help of a stool (sool). I'm still amazed that he never uses it until I come in to get him up in the morning. I think it's because he knows that his pacifiers stay in the bed, so he does too. And, he has moved from his high chair into a chair at the table with everyone else. I still have to put him in his chair at the table and in the car (don't tell my doc.), but he can get out pretty good by himself.
Harrison is amazingly laid back. He really only cries when he's hungry. Sometimes he grunts a little bit when he has the hiccups or needs to poop or spit up (yes I talk about that all of the time, sorry). But, he is already able to get himself to sleep pretty well.
I feel pretty good. I don't really have any pain anymore. Yah!!!
Okay, so that's it for now.

.......Something witty here......

Harrison is here!!

Well, I successfully did it!! Harrison was born at 10:39am on June 19th. He was 8 lbs 1.6 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. No surgery is fun!! But, this c-section was 100% better than my last one. I was so scared that it would be like the last one. The doctors, nurses, and nurse anesthetist were awesome! I won't go into details, but feel free to ask me about it if you are facing a scheduled c-section.

Almost here!!

Well, the big day is almost here. We arrive at the hospital at 8:00am on Friday morning, and Harrison's c-section is at 10:00am. I'm so glad that they were able to move it up from 12. The less time I have to sit around worrying, the better.
I'm really excited to finally meet Harrison. ...to finally see him as another child. I think I'm just picturing having David again:-) I'm starting to get anxious about the c-section. I really don't do well with hospitals, needles, pain in general. I'm hoping to get to go home by 12:00 on Sunday. ...so says Dr. Toler. So, feel free to come and visit Harrison and the rest of his family at my house by Monday:-) I've asked my family to come and see him on Saturday. I'm hoping I'll be well medicated and situated by then.
Please pray that there are no complications; that I stay calm through the surgery so I am able to remember and enjoy seeing Harrison come into the world; and that I have a quick recovery.
I'll put pictures on here as soon as I can lay the laptop on my belly again.

Nothing Yet

I have some really cool pictures to put on here. But, we're having computer issues in my house. The computer with the pictures, doesn't have the internet, and the computer with the internet, doesn't have the pictures. So, you can see my pickle.
The pictures will include many visits with friends and a lovely day outside with David and Daddy.
So, soon to come.........
